June 22, 2017 - On Tuesday, June 20th, AFA International President Sara Nelson and the AFA Air, Health and Safety Department presented to the Department of Transportation (DOT) lead staff on the roles, responsibilities and training required to serve as an FAA Certified Flight Attendant.
June 22, 2017 - The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) cheered Chairman Shuster’s introduction of H.R. 2997, the 21st Century AIRR Act, that includes the union’s top safety priority of 10 hours minimum rest for Flight Attendants - equal to the flight deck - and a Fatigue Risk Management Plan (FRMP).
